JOEY PEDRONI
Joey Pedroni became a Professional Trainer in August 2007. She began her professional career with Sonoma Valley Stables in Petaluma, where she had been riding since 2001. Her special ability to train horses, ponies and their riders comes from her longtime passion for competitive riding.
Prior to riding with Ned and Hope Glynn of SVS, Joey apprenticed herself to a priceless mentor, Trainer and Dressage competitor Sidley Payne. Sidley is qualified as an international judge and has been judging Dressage for 30 years. She was also an alternate for the 1972 U.S. Olympic team and a member of the U.S. team for world championships in Denmark in 1974.
When Sidley moved to the East Coast, Joey trained and competed in 3-Day Eventing for a number of years under Andrea Pfeiffer of Chocolate Horse Farm, where she was taught to combine the courage of Cross Country, the precision of Hunter-Jumper, and the finesse of Dressage. Her solid Dressage background made her very successful.
In her Amateur career as a Hunter/Jumper, Joey was named Best Adult Rider at the Menlo Charity Horse Show and received many year end awards in Jumper and Equitation Divisions. Joey has been Norcal Equitation Classic Champion, in the Top Five in the Menlo Charity Gamblers choice twice, and made top placement in medal finals at Norcal, Hudson, CPHA, and Pickwick. As a professional rider and trainer, Joey has a passion for working with all levels of riders and horses, bringing them together to achieve peak performance.
